Anthony J. Valentia, Sr.

Anthony J. Valentia Sr., of Sparrowbush, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at home with his family by his side.  He was 68.

He was born March 28, 1949 in Middletown, NY the son of the late Anthony Rocco and the late Doris Milne Valentia.

He worked as a Bus Driver for many years for Port Jervis and later retired from Quality Bus in Sparrowbush.

A family statement read:   He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and Uncle.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed driving school bus and playing the slots.  He will be loved and missed.

His loving wife of 49years Pamela Valentia at home

1 Son:              Anthony Valentia, Jr. and his fiancé Desirae Schwab of Bushkill, PA

1 Daughter:     April Kostenbader and her husband Bryce of Port Jervis, NY

3 Sisters:         Charlene Heater and her companion Ramiro Quiles of Middletown, NY

                        Bonnie Schultz and her husband Ronnie of Middletown, NY

                        Sandy Davila and her husband Jose of Middletown, NY

6 Grandchildren: Charles, Anthony III, Kayla, Jason, Hunter and Sierra

5 Great Grandchildren: Kindal, Haiden, Mason, Piper and Kelsea

Also several nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his siblings; Linda King, Charlotte Steimle, Charles Valentia, Pete Valentia, Sr., Joseph Valentia, Carrie Fryer, Easton Valentia, Nicholas Valentia and Agnes Hendricks.

A visitation will be at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771 on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Aaron Baughman officiating.

A burial of cremains will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY
