Karen M. Marzigliano

Mrs. Karen Marie Marzigliano of Milford, PA died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ. She was 74.

She was born May 16, 1943 in Shattuck, OK the daughter of the late Edward William Van Houten and the late Gwendolyn Kathryn Fulton Van Houten. Karen was also predeceased by her step father Lauren W. Cross and her step mother, Zelda Van Houten, her in-laws Prudenza & Paquale Marzigliano and her sister-in-law Marie Carnevale.

Karen was married for 34 years to Nicholas Marzigliano prior to his death on October 1, 2016. Nick will also be memorialized and in the prayers of the family and friends during the visitation for Karen.

She was a self employed Artist specializing in Batik Art.
A family statement read: Karen loved animals, especially her cat, Charlie, & her menagerie of pets, as well as, birdwatching and the local wildlife. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, drawing & painting and had a fondness for maps/geography. She was a caring and compassionate woman who enjoyed talking to friends, family and strangers alike and telling life stories and family history.

Sister-in-law: Sandi Van Houten of Tucson, AZ
Sister-in-law:. Amelia Babamian & her husband Armen New of Milford, NJ
Brother-in-law: Frank Carnavale of  Bergenfield, NJ
Step sister: Peppy Brown & her husband David of Wheaton, MD
Also several nieces and nephews

Visitation will be at GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm

Cremation will be at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.
