Charles J. Magos, Sr.

Mr. Charles J. Magos Sr. of Sparrowbush, NY, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his home.  He was 83.

He was born January 4, 1934 in Bronx, NY the son of the late Charles and the late Lucille Magos.

Charles proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He was married to his beloved wife Joan Magos until her passing on November 11, 2003.

 A family statement read: “Charles was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.  He was known to his employers as being one of their most treasured employees.  He was hardworking and a people pleaser.  If he could get out of bed, he was going to work.  His hard work made his family never want for anything.  We were rich in love and family because of him.  He was also very generous and loved people.  He was known for donating to various organizations, in particular, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  He will be greatly missed.”

Surviving are:

2 Sons: Michael Magos and his wife Robbyn of Kansas and Charles J. Magos, Jr., and his partner Wendy Nellums of Port Jervis

1 sister: Catherine LaValle

Grandchildren: Amanda, Korrie, Charles J. III

1 great grandchild: Elias

Also several nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Magos  

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2pm at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
