Ronald LeRoy Irwin

Mr. Ronald LeRoy Irwin a long time resident of Spring Glen, NY died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown.  He was 77.

He was born January 27, 1940 in Walden, NY the son of the late Albert F. Irwin and the late Ella A. Markle Irwin.

Ronald proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a Sonar and Communications specialist.  He was also a member of the American Legion.

He went on to use technical skills at IBM in Kingston, NY working as a Computer Technician traveling around the country repairing main frame computers.

Ronald married Sharon Tice 53 years ago on October 3, 1964 in the Walden Methodist Church in Walden, NY.

A family statement read:  Dad was a man who showed his family he loved them deeply.  His greatest joy was his wife, children and grandchildren.  He loved to have family gatherings.  He possessed an unmatchable sense of humor.  He was a loyal and caring man that was devoted to his family.

10 grandchildren: Shannon Plaza & her husband Joe, Victoria Irwin, Justin Irwin, Christopher Irwin, Erica Martzen, Anthony Irwin, Rosamaria Irwin, Adrianna Irwin, Emily Gardner & Zachary Irwin

Great granddaughter, Auria

Also several nieces and nephews.
