Ruth M. Tompkins

Mrs. Ruth M. Tompkins of Hemlock Farms, Hawley, PA died Monday, February 19, 2018 at home with her family by her side.  She was 86.

She was born May 27, 1931 in Oceanside, NY the daughter of the late M. Berry Carman and the late Ruth Van Rees Carman.

Ruth married Daniel D. Tompkins, III 65 years ago on February 14, 1953 in Freeport, NY.

She worked as a Registered Nurse on Long Island for over 30 years before retiring to Hemlock Farms with her husband Daniel, where they have resided for 22 years.

Also 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren  

Ruth was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda Dobos

And her son-in-law, Peter Glasser and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Gray

Friends may call at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main Street, Port Jervis, NY on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 23rd at 8:00 pm at the funeral home with Chaplain Diane Quintiliani officiating

Following a cremation at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA, a graveside service and burial of cremains will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, T.N. 38105-1942 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
