Obituary of Rosalind Hesleitner
Mrs. Rosalind “Lyn” Hesleitner of Port Jervis and a long time resident of the area died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at home with her family by her side. She was 86.
She was born June 20, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Reynold Schroko and the late Helene Schroeder Schroko.
Rosalind was married for 37 years to Howard George Hesleitner prior to his death on June 6, 1988.
She worked as a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker in Port Jervis formerly Irving Homer Real Estate.
Rosalind was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Port Jervis where she was an active member of the Altar Guild since 1967 having served as the Secretary and the Treasurer.
A family statement read: Rosalind was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Rosalind loved life and cherished her family, friends and her dog Shylo, her constant companion. Some of her passions were roses, butterflies, gardening, children and center piece designs.

Son: Mark Hesleitner and his wife Susan of Port Jervis, NY.
Daughter: Marlene VanHouten and her husband Ronald of Dingmans Ferry, PA
Grandson: John Hesleitner of Massapequa Park, NY
Visitation will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 31 West Main St., Port Jervis on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM at the church with Rev. Aaron Baughman officiating.
There will also be a visitation on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 9:30am – 10:00am followed funeral service at 10:00 am in the Community United Methodist Church, 100 Park Blvd., Massapequa, NY 11758 with Rev. Dorothy Caldwell and Rev. Aaron Baughman concelebrating.
Burial will be at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
