Obituary of Minnie Conklin
Mrs. Minnie L. Conklin of Port Jervis, NY, passed awayTuesday, May 16, 2017 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. She was 81 years young.
She was born June 22, 1935 in Godeffroy, NY the daughter of the late George and the late Rita Phillips Brighton.
Minnie was married to her late husband Marcus E. Conklin, Sr. on September 25, 1954 until his passing in 1993.
She worked at H&M Clothing for 20 years and Andmore Sportswear for 23 years.
A family statement read: “She was one of the most kind hearted women you’d ever meet, and was said to be “The Sweetest Little Thing” by all who came in contact with her. She was very appreciative of everyone who helped guide her through the rough times during her rehabilitation period. She was loved dearly by all her family and friends. Her family was her life. She loved to attend every event and birthday party without ever leaving anyone out. She will be dearly missed by many.”

Grandchildren: Maranda Flood, Stacy Vargas, Brad and Daren Howlett, Tiffany and Shane Topel, CJ, Dan, Frasier and Cameron Conklin and Alisia Langbein.
Great Grandchildren: Jared McCann, Landan Schuller, Payton Thompson and Sheyla Vargas, Emily & Charlie Langbein and Brittany & Kiersten Conklin.
Also many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Sheila Howlett; sisters, Rita Ostrom and Laura Clune; brothers, Dennis, George, Bob, Carl and Edward Brighton.
Friends are welcome to visit at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Harold Butler officiating.
Burial will be at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.
