So sorry to hear of the loss of Ron.
I trained Ron at the Times Herald-Record where we shared many a laugh and interesting talks.
One was after sharing an out of body experience back in the 1970s and Ron said he believed what I was saying and went on to explain he didn't know he was going to quit smoking on the day he did. He had a massive heart attack and when he finally came to he asked the medical personnel how long he was gone. They confirmed to him that he had flat-lined, saying 'you were gone, all right' and he responded he already knew that because he had seen his mother. He just wanted to know how long he was gone. It was then that he looked at me and said: "My mother died when I was 8 years old. She was in a long dress coming towards me waving her arms saying 'No, no, go back'." I know for sure that Ron believed we will all meet again in the hereafter. Until then, rest in peace my friend.
