Mr. Roland “Rollo” Thomas Elmore

Barryville, NY

 

Mr. Roland “Rollo” Thomas Elmore of Barryville, NY and a lifetime resident of the area died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at home.  He was 69.

He was born October 28, 1948 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Charles R. Elmore and the late Vera Mae Batchler Elmore.

Roland was the owner and operator of Roland T. Elmore Logging & Land Clearing in Barryville, NY and the last surviving member of the Olph Brothers Band.

 

A family statement read:  Rollo was an avid lover of nature, family, music and all things fun. His jokes and guitar touched all those around him. Being in the woods was his true passion in life and was only matched by his love for the community. Rollo came with a warning label and everyone loved him for it. He lived life on his terms and may he rest in eternal peace."

Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc. 100 East Main St., Port Jervis on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 12:30 pm - 2:30pm

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:30 PM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.

 

Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
