~~Mrs. Amelia “Amy” Rita Coda
Mrs. Amelia “Amy” Rita Coda of Sparrowbush and a longtime resident of the Tri-State area died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was 92.
Born February 19, 1925 in the Bronx, NY the daughter of the late Salvatore Aloysius DeCeasre and the late Antoinette Spadola DeCeasre.
Amy married Vincent B. Coda on September 15, 1951 in the Bronx, NY and they were married for 64 years until his death on January 30, 2016.
She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Port Jervis and was a supporter and, over 20 year volunteer, for the Meals on Wheels of Port Jervis. She was also a member of the USS SLC CA25 Association.
Mom & Grandma was a provider of many delicious meals every day of the week, especially during the holidays for her family. She loved us all, and was always here to listen, as our family's invariable rock.

3 Great Grandchildren: Vincent Coda, Madeleine Coda and Luke Coda
She was predeceased by her daughter, Marie Coda

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 with a 9:45am prayer at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's R.C. Church, 46 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY.
Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
