Mrs. Lois E. Storms of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Greenville, NY, a retired supervisor for Morley Shirt, Co., Franklin, NJ died Friday, December 18, 2020 at home in Myrtle beach, SC.  She was 84.

The daughter of the late Edwin Sisco and the late Ethel Vance Sisco, she was born February 27, 1936 in McAfee, NJ.

Lois was happily married to Gilbert Storms for 32 years prior to his passing on March 2nd, 2006.

She was a member of the Carolina Forest Senior Center and Celebration Presbyterian Church, of Carolina Forest, South Carolina, and the Middletown Elks Lodge #1097. Prior to moving to South Carolina, Lois was a member of the Greenville United Methodist Church, and the Greenville Seniors for many years.

 

A family statement read: Lois was such a kindhearted, giving person. When she was not working on a puzzle, you could find her enjoying a nice book, or walking the beach looking for seashells. Lois also loved to head to the casino. What she loved most, though, was her family and friends.

 

She is survived by:

2 grandchildren: Meghan O’Brien-Loran and her husband Roger,     Ravena, NY

                        Michael Odynsky and his wife Kristin,                        Dingman’s Ferry, PA

9 great grandchildren,

1 special niece: Carol Blackman and her husband William,             Conway, SC

Grandniece: Heather Taylor and her husband Steve,                       Montague, NJ

Grandnephew: Tony Gray,                                                                 State of Florida

Extended family: Tim Durland and his wife Donna,                           Myrtle Beach, SC

Sister-in-law/ Best friend: Millie Sisco,                                               Hamburg, NJ

And several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends

 

She was predeceased by her longtime companion Floyd Durland, her five brothers: Edwin, George, Richard, Ernest and Allen Sisco and her grandson Denton Odynsky.

 

Visitation will be held at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771, on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Zorn officiating.

 

A private burial will be held at Manning Cemetery, Greenville, NY.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lois’ name may be made to Greenville United Methodist Church, 1686 Greenville Tpk, Greenville Township, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
