Shawn Matthew Bowers of Sparrowbush, NY, died Friday, September 3, 2021 at in the Town of Lumberland. He was 18.

He was born April 26, 2003 in Morristown, NJ the son of Darlene Bowers.

 

Shawn was a Port Jervis High School graduate of 2021. He attended CTech school where he learned to work as a Machine Operator on Heavy Machinery.  Shawn was a great mechanic; he could fix anything.  His friends could always count on him to help them fix their cars or offer his help to any of them that were in need.  He loved the outdoors; you could always find him fishing, hunting or camping. Shawn could be very stubborn at times, but he was usually right and would hold his ground. Since Shawn was 8 years old, he worked at his family‚Äôs business, Port Jervis Paving alongside his grandfather.  At 8 years old Shawn was up at 6am checking the machines over before they started the day. He loved his family and his friends.  He will be greatly missed.

maternal grandmother: Darlene M. Bowers  

Maternal Grandfather: Thomas Bowers and his wife Mavis

Many aunts, uncles and cousins

His girlfriend, Lea Traktman

Also many loving friends and his beloved dog, Anna

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Sandra Rogers.

 

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
