Obituary of Amy Bavoso
Amy Rebecca Bavoso of Greenville Twp, NY, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 unexpectedly at home as a result of a medical complication. She was 44.
She was born November 15, 1973 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of William D. and Sharon H. Bavoso.
Amy graduated from Port Jervis High School and then went on to graduate from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. She worked as a First Grade Teacher in Richlands, NC and a First Grade Teacher in ASK Elementary School in Port Jervis. She was currently working as a substitute teacher in several of the local school districts while working on her Master’s Degree.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Port Jervis.
A family statement read:” Amy was a loving daughter and sister who loved teaching children and loved her family. She also loved Beagles, reading, Hallmark movies and frogs. She will be dearly missed.”

Family and friends are invited to the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771 on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
The funeral services will be Friday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 am in the First Presbyterian Church, 8 N. Broome St., Port Jervis, NY 12771.
The graveside funeral services and burial will be held privately.
