Obituary of Ernestus Skinner
Mr. Ernestus F. “Ernie” Skinner of Cuddebackville, NY died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at St. Joseph's Place. He was 96.
He was born February 17, 1921 in Port Orange, NY the son of the late Ernestus and the late Mary Elizabeth Piatt Skinner.
Ernie married Betty Jean Frace on November 18, 1956 in Kingston, PA.
He served in the 88th Army Infantry during WWII.
Ernestus worked as a Corrections Officer in the NYS Division of Youth at the Otisville Department of Corrections. He was also a life member of the Otisville American Legion and the Greenville V.F.W.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter Cathy Skinner, great-grandson Brandon Canter, sister Audrey Van Ness, and sister-in-law Mary Louise McIlvain.
Friends may call at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main Street, Port Jervis, NY on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 8:00pm with Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.
Cremation will be held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.
A burial of cremains will be held in Rural Valley Cemetery at a later date.
