Obituary of Robert Mandeville
Mr. Robert L. Mandeville of Montague, NJ and a longtime resident of the area died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was 82 years old.
He was born the eldest of five children on April 3, 1936 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Ernest Mandeville and the late Valeria Waite Mandeville.
Robert was a Chef for several area restaurants; the Evergreen Restaurant and The Tom Quick Inn in Milford, PA; the Riverview Inn in Matamoras, PA and was food service manager at the Promethean Institute in Milford, PA. He also cooked for the Pole Bridge Hunting Club and the Montague Hunting Club. He was a volunteer cook for Boy Scout Troop 102, G.R. Mackenzie PTA and Eldred PTSO.
A family statement read: Along with cooking, he also enjoyed gardening, bowling, baseball and bird watching.
Robert is survived by:
Son: Timothy Mandeville of Montague, NJ
Daughter: Heather Worzel and her husband Brian of Glen Spey, NY
2 Sisters: Doris Troller and Ruth Kidde
2 Brothers: James Mandeville and his wife Mary Kay; Paul Mandeville and his wife Andrea
His beloved grandsons: Tyler Worzel and Timothy Worzel
Also several nieces and nephews and friends.
And his Shop Rite family
He was recently predeceased by his beloved granddog, Lucy with whom he is now reunited.
A private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of his family .
