Obituary of Thomas Fitzpatrick

Thomas P. Fitzpatrick

Port Jervis, NY

Thomas P. Fitzpatrick of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY.  He was 50.

He was born September 8, 1967 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late John G. and Susan Warncke Fitzpatrick.

Tom worked as a First-Class Gas Construction Fitter for Orange and Rockland Utilities for many years.

A family statement read: “Tom was the quintessential, “simple man”.  He faced brain cancer head on and fought it on his own terms.  Tom had unstoppable work ethic all his life. Even while residing at the Kaplan house, he got out of bed to clean their windows and grounds after a severe storm wreaked havoc on the facility.  That was his work ethic; stoppable only by death. Tom was a man of pure and honest values and helped everyone he knew. There was no job or task Tom could not complete.  Tom was great with all kids.  He had so many ways to make them smile and be happy and they would all flock to him to get a hug.  All who knew him will sadly miss Tom. “
