Mrs. Carol Ann Conroy of Port Jervis, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Joseph's Place in Port Jervis.  She was 84.

She was born October 23, 1934 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of the late Edward Matthew Fahey and the late Mary Elizabeth Cullinan Fahey.

Carol married Francis Martin “Hank” Conroy 58 years ago on April 23, 1960 in St. Mary’s RC Church, Port Jervis, NY.

She worked as a Registered Nurse in the O.R. at St. Francis Hospital, Port Jervis, NY and was also a Port Jervis School Nurse for over 20 years.

Carol was a proud member of St. Mary's R.C. Church where she taught CCD Religion Class where she was very proud to teach many children preparing to make their first communion. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Madonna No. 114, Port Jervis.  She was also Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader's Assistant.

A family statement read: Carol was a loving wife, mom, grandmother “Mimi”, great grandmother, aunt, sister in law, god mother and friend to many.  She loved babysitting her grandchildren when they were small, many trips to Disney, watching her grandchildren race at Oakland Valley Race Park, and Hamlin Speedway and when she was able never missed a sporting or school event of theirs.   She was always their biggest fan!  She looked forward every year to the Fireman’s Day Parade and the various parties with the Ball Street Gang. She was an avid NY Yankee, NY Giants, and Notre Dame fan and enjoyed watching her teams.  Carol also shared a love of watching Dancing with the Stars with her son Stephen.  The last two years of her life she resided at St Joseph’s Place and received wonderful care from the nurses, CNAs, doctors, and activity staff.  They were wonderful to her and she could not express how much she enjoyed it there and it renewed her love of Bingo and doing crafts.
