A Family Statement Read:
Lorraine, (Mom, Gigi) touched everyone who was blessed to know her, with her care, love, and quick witted humor. Lorraine (Lori) exemplified the meaning of a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, Sister-in-law, and friend. She had a passion for all that life offered her, in spite of hardships throughout her life, however always provided for her family. She loved to travel abroad and across the U.S., oceanside family vacations, family reunions, and music. She was an exceptional dancer, until she became gravely ill the last few months of her life. She loved art, drawing, collecting dolls, antiques, and crocheting beautiful blankets for all of her children. Lorraine especially loved to shop! She always made a point at every Christmas Family gathering, to express her love for each and every one of her children, (Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren) with the gifts she managed to keep giving. Since she was a young child, Lorraine loved fashion, always dressing to the nines each and every day! Lorraine was so very proud and loved everyone of her children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. As the baby of her family, (nicknamed “Cupie Cody”, she so dearly missed her pre-deceased Father, Brothers, and Sister, and especially her Mother, (her best-friend throughout her life… “Grandma Cody”).
Our hearts have been broken, the last three months, not being able to be there with you and comfort you, due to COVID-19. We’ve missed you terribly and now that you’ve passed so recently, we will miss you each day going forward in our own lives. You were the best Mother, Grand/Great Grandmother we could ever wish to have… You are in all of our hearts forever, we have Peace knowing you will no longer suffer as you have the last few months, and we will all be together again in time… Rest in Peace, our dearly beloved and beautiful Mother/Gigi…We love you.
