Mrs. Ewfrozyna Martynec of Glen Spey, NY, died Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home.  She was 99.

She was born September 18, 1921 in Ustia Zelene, Ukraine,  the daughter of the late Mychaylo and the late Kateryna Halibey Lozynsky.

She was a former member of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army in Ukraine.

She graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Kean University.  She worked as a Bookkeeper in Ukraine and also at Aristocrat Leather in Newark, NJ.

She was married to her loving husband, Wolodymyr Martynec for 46 years until his passing in 1993.

She was a devoted member of St. Volodymyr’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Glen Spey, the UNWLA, Ukrainian Congress Committee and OYN.

Surviving are:

Her loving daughter, Maria InGulli, formerly of Nevada

Also her loving caregiver, Ana Lupsac

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Sophia Martynec.


Family and friends are invited to visit at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. A Panachyda service will be held at 3pm.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 with a 10am Liturgy Mass in St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2104 Co. Rte 41, Glen Spey, NY 12737 with Rev. Yaroslav Kostyk officiating.


Burial will be at Glen Spey Cemetery, Glen Spey, NY.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Volodymyr’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, PO Box 108, Glen Spey, NY 12737.
