Mr. Chaba Miklos Pallaghy of Montague, NJ, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 88.
He was born September 23, 1932 in Hungary, the son of the late Levente Pallaghy and the late Anna Gyenge Pallaghy.
Chaba was a Real Estate Broker and owned CM Pallaghy, Inc. in Matamoras, PA.
He was married to his loving wife, Cheryl Pallaghy in August of 2003 at the First Assembly of God Church in Port Jervis, NY.
A family statement read:
Often described as the gentleman's gentleman, Chaba emigrated to the U.S. in 1957 and was a proud American citizen. He was a former fencer, winning gold and bronze medals in the 1963 Pan American Games and continued to be involved in fencing for the remainder of his years. He was also a member of the F.I.E.(the world governing body of fencing) for the years 1981-1996 and elected to the position of Vice President in 1993. Later in 2015 he was given the honor of being inducted into the Hall of Fame of the F.I.E.
In his professional career Chaba was a Broker and Appraiser in the Tri-State area for over fifty years. His ability to speak seven languages enabled him to bring together and help many people all over the world.

8 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
Half Sister: Erzsebet Sandor
He was predeceased by his daughter, Susie Pallaghy and his step daughter, Sharyl Lynn Orlandi.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, PA.
