Mrs. Elizabeth Violet Conklin
Mrs. Elizabeth Violet Conklin of Sparrowbush, NY died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 86.
She was born June 8, 1934 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of the late Dennis DeGroat and the late Kathryn DeGroat.
Elizabeth was married to Willard Conklin in Port Jervis, NY on July 10, 1952 and remained happily married for 56 years until his passing on September 16, 2008.
A family statement read: Mom was a strong woman all her life. When mom was not out shopping with her sisters, she could be found playing cards or doing crossword puzzles. She also loved to hit the casino at any chance she could.

Her sisters Delores Finch of Port Jervis
Joyce and Bill Slottko of Dingman’s Ferry, PA
also many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren
Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving son Willard Conklin, Jr. and her sisters Nancy DeGroat, Virginia DeGroat Jeanette Vanderveer, Helen Conklin, Kathryn Ostrom and Evelyn Mills.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the rural Valley Cemetery at 12:00pm with
Pastor Mike Musser officiating.
Burial will be at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.
