Obituary of Henrietta Rosenstein
Mrs. Henrietta "Nettie" Rosenstein of Port Jervis, NY and a resident of Port Jervis since the age of 19 died at Belle Reeve, Milford, PA. She was 100. She was born November 21, 1910 in Bronx, NY the daughter of the late Phillip and the late Jennie Kurtzman Whitman. She was married for 55 years to Samuel Rosenstein prior to his death April 25, 1984. Nettie was the founder and business owner of Royal Furniture in Port Jervis with her late husband Sam. She was a member of Temple Beth El, Port Jervis where she was also a member of the sister hood. She was a member of Hadassah. A family statement read: "She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved to cook for her entire family. She was an independent, classy woman who always dressed to the nines." Surviving are: Daughter: Sandra Effron and her husband Joshua Delmar, NY 2 Granddaughters: Heidi Duncan and her husband Bill Santee, CA Robin Radeloff and her husband James Sparta, NJ 5 Great Granddaughters: Ainsley Samantha Kurman, Jennifer and Denise Radeloff; Madeline and Hailey Duncan 1 Great Grandson: Michael Radeloff Granddaughter-in-law: Peggy Kurman Nutley, NJ Also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased Daughter and Son-In-Law: Estelle and Sol Ganz Predeceased Grandson: Jeffrey David Kurman Predeceased Sister: Mae Diamond Predeceased Niece: Linda Diamond Predeceased Nephew: Major Stephen Diamond There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 am in Gray-Parker Funeral Home 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis with Rabbi Dr. Burton Mindick officiating. Burial will be at Beth El Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
