Obituary of Leslie E. DeVore

NY Mrs. Leslie E. 'Betty' DeVore of Port Jervis, NY retired from Andmore Sportswear and lifetime resident of the area, died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown. She was 82. She was born May 23, 1922 in Montague, NJ the daughter of the late Bernaldi and the late Mable McAllister Cooper. She was the widow of the late Russell L. DeVore; he died Sept. 2, 1980. She was a former foster grandparent at the Headstart Program and member of the Daughters of America and ILGWU. A family statement read, 'Betty was a loving mother and Mother-in-law, and especially a devoted grandmother'. Surviving are: Daughter: Deborah E. Nason & her husband, Michael Port Jervis, NY 4 Grandchildren: Rebecca Nason, Tonya Nason, Megan Nason And Russell Nason all of Port Jervis, NY Also Nieces & Nephews Predeceased son and daugher, Russell K. DeVore and Sharon DeVore Predeceased by 2 brothers: Kenneth Edgar Cooper & John Cooper. Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 2-4 & 7-9: PM Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis with Rev. Stephen Huston officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, PA.
